WELCOME TO EASTGATE MEDICAL GROUP
Patient Online Triage
COVID-19 restrictions at Eastgate Medical Group after 19th July 2021
From 19 July 2021 there will be no changes to COVID-19 restrictions at the practice.
Staff will continue to wear the appropriate PPE and we urge patients to phone us whenever possible rather than coming into surgery. Patients who do come into surgery will still need to wear a mask, use hand sanitiser and socially distance.
These measures will help to protect those patients on site who are sick, vulnerable, or unvaccinated. They will also help to minimise the risk of our staff catching COVID so we can continue to offer services for patients as we have done throughout the pandemic.
The continuation of current infection prevention and control measures at the surgery is consistent with many other healthcare providers across the country and we know you will understand the need to keep everyone as safe as we can.
Thank you for your cooperation – let’s continue to stay safe together.
UNFORTUNATELY WE HAVE HAD A NUMBER OF PATIENTS COMING INTO THE SURGERY FOR APPOINTMENTS WITH SYMPTOMS OF CORONAVIRUS DESPITE HAVING BEEN SCREENED OVER THE TELEPHONE AND GIVEN ADVICE REGARDING THIS.
PATIENTS ATTENDING APPOINTMENTS WITH POTENTIAL CORONAVIRUS ARE PUTTING BOTH OUR STAFF AND OTHER PATIENTS AT RISK WHICH MAY ULTIMATELY IMPACT ON THE SERVICE WE ARE ABLE TO PROVIDE.
DEEP CLEANING OF CONSULTING ROOMS DUE TO THIS HAS BEEN UNDERTAKEN A NUMBER OF TIMES AND CAUSES SIGNIFICANT DISRUPTION AND RISK TO OTHERS.
PLEASE COULD WE ASK ALL PATIENTS TO THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE ATTENDING AND PAY CLOSE ATTENTION WHEN BEING SCREENED OVER THE TELEPHONE.

Partners in Care
Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
The practice serves a population of over 12,000 patients. Our main surgery premises are in Hornsea and we have a branch surgery in Aldbrough. There is good disabled access to both premises.
